These devotionals on faith are based on true experiences in my life.
We as Christians must always remember first and foremost that Jesus loves His Church and that He will never leave them, nor forsake them. We must always cling to His first love for us. He accepted me just as I am when I first came to Him and His loves abides forever. He has not changed His love for us one iota. It is we who change through the experiences we face during our lifetime.
When I came to Jesus I remember feeling I could conquer anything. I was 22 then and now I am 55. Many wonderful adventures I have had since my beginnings but many things have happened to me that have rocked and shaken my life. I remember seeking God for His fire. I wanted more of His anointing. I wanted more of Him and I was ever so thirsty for wisdom. I felt if I had these things I could win many souls for Him and preach powerfully and win many to the Lord. I fasted 3 days a week, sought Him daily for hours in secluded places and prayed for His fire.
Since that time many years ago I have lost a house I built myself, my wife passed away at age 36, my ministry fell apart and many other hurtful attacks came in my life. I felt I was no longer wanted by Him. I felt I had done something He was not pleased with and did not want me in His service. I have been sifted like wheat and satan has desired to pluck me from my Jesus' hand but today I love Him even more and have become grounded in this love He has for me.
We must remember always that even though we are in Him we are subject to attacks from the wicked one and all his thugs. We must remember that we are always subject to sin. No man alive can ever say that he/she are not subject to sin. I have made many horrible mistakes and when I get to be with the saints who are with Jesus I want to tell Paul that he was not the chief sinner. I am. This is why I love Jesus so much. He loves me just as I am and He has never changed in His thinking about me. It is I who changed.
My wonderful Christian friends, again I must say that Jesus is the same today as He was yesterday. He accepted me unconditionally when I gave my life to Him on Feb 28th, 1972 and His thoughts toward us are too high for all of us to understand. Think of it. How can He love us like He does? We are His creation and think of it. Adam the first son, fell and we inherited this state from him but God gave us a second chance to turn what Adam did around. The second son (Jesus) paid a horrific price for us and now we must not become deluded again by satan's lies. We are much loved and that is and what will be my faith for as long as I have breath. His love is my hope, the anchor of my soul.
