These devotionals on faith are based on true experiences in my life.

If you are in Christ, then we should realize that we are truly blessed because of what He did for us. He is the Captain of Our Salvation, and rightly deserves our love and praises. We are told in scriptures that if we live in Him we should walk like Him in the Spirit. We must come to realize the power and authority we have in Him. No, we do not feel it, nor can we see it. Most of us walk in Him and feel unworthy of this power and authority mostly because we know ourselves better than anyone. Satan keeps us in the state of guilt inside to keep us at bay.  

When we came to Jesus, He accepted me just as I am. He has not changed in His thinking toward us. He made up His mind about that a long time ago when He who knew no sin, became sin for us. He decided in the Garden of Gethsemane to follow His Daddy's plan of salvation for us. There is no shadow of turning and walking away. He loves us, has faith in us and praises us in the presence of our Father. We carry in these bodies a power and authority we do not deserve but we have it anyways. God wants us to operate in His Spirit and power through love and humility. 

I remember when we met in this hall in the beginnings and there were many people coming every week. There were a lot of teens with us back then. After a meeting some of the teens came to me and told me of this young person who was sitting on the swings out back and was high on drugs. I went out and sat on the ground and started to chat with her. I shared Jesus with this young lady and told her of the power He had to deliver her. I talked with her for about an hour. The teens said that she would never remember what I said to her. I told them I did not talk to her brains but to her spirit. The teens took her home that night. The next day I got this phone call and it was this young girl I had talked to the night before. She said, "I do not know why I am calling but I just had to call you and tell you I dumped all the drugs I had and flushed it down the toilet". We talked and she gave her life to Jesus right there on the phone. Praise The Lord!!!!!

We must remember always that the work we do for Him is never in vain. We must be honest with ourselves and acknowledge that we are His. Tell satan that we agree with him on this one thing only that we are guilty but then tell him to get behind you because Jesus is your Saviour and you live in Him by faith. He is mine and I am His forever. So be gone satan in Jesus' mighty name.

I know many will not agree with this but it sure works for me. When one is sincere He is always faithful and just to forgive. We are much loved and that is what will be my faith for as long as I have breath. His love is my hope, the anchor and Captain of my soul.

Study Guide

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Pr. 4:23

Father I thank you for giving us the wonderful gift of your Son, Jesus. Thank you Jesus for all your love and steadfastness.  Right now Lord I receive your forgiveness. I have lived with guilt for long enough and will no longer allow it to keep me from you.  I stand with you and by faith throw my sin and guilt in the depth of the sea.  Your love for me now covers my sin, I am yours and you are mine forever. Help me to shine like the stars bringing many to righteousness.  You are my inspiration and Captain forever.  Standing on this in your name, I believe and I love you! Amen!
