These devotionals on faith are based on true experiences in my life.
Last year I received a phone call from friends who live in another country and who were very upset about their missing daughter. They did not know where she was and had no leads. She had taken off with some guy who was promising her the world.
This
generation is full of people who are full of
lies and deceit. Our children are fighting on
what to believe. We have raised our children in
a Christian atmosphere but the world with all
it's lying wonders has a strong pull and a huge
influence on our children. Satan is the same
today as he was yesterday. He tempted Jesus,
showed and offered Him three things. We have three temptations
recorded in Matthew 4. Two belong to the 'If you
are' or 'Who you are' category and
the last one was as I put it The Great
Temptation. Satan did the same in the Garden
with Adam and Eve. The three basic things he
tempts us with is our need, our pride and
desires. All these areas we must keep in check
at all times. Jesus is our need, our pride and
our ultimate desire. When satan could not move
Jesus on the 'If You Are's' he tried to persuade
Him with riches and
possessions.
'WE ARE' the children of God. I am God's child. Oh
yes I am and so are you. Jesus is my brother. I
belong to God. I am part of God's family. I am
in the palm of His hand and no one shall pluck
me from His grip. I am determined in life to
keep that status. I know who I am and where I
belong. Jesus is exactly who He says He is. God
is exactly who He says He is. We must settle and
secure our lives in this fact
once and for all.
The parents of this young lady were in turmoil and very afraid for their daughter. This young girl was raised in a godly home and she was taught the principles of God and His Word. I told them that God is faithful. He hears our prayers. We prayed on the phone together. I told satan that on no uncertain terms were we giving up our right and power over the control of our children. I broke his power over us to fear but instead we stood in faith. We sent the Holy Spirit to their daughter. Yes, you heard right. We did sic the Holy Spirit on her to convict their daughter of her sin. We asked Him to surround her with His protection because we were the authority over the physical and spiritual well being of her life. We told God that we did not hand this right over to our enemy. We together, on the phone, asked the Spirit to impress on this child to seek help at a Church or send someone who was a true Christian. I told them to call me and let me know when she arrives home.
You might say that that is cocky faith but when it comes to satan and my rights over my children, yes I am like a bull. He cannot have them and I tell him so. Two days later I received a phone call from my friends again. They were all excited and full of joy. Praise God!!! Their daughter arrived home and another Pastor returned her to them. We were told later that she became convicted and felt like she needed to talk to a Pastor. She visited a church where she never ever went before. The Pastor was a woman. This godly Pastor convinced their daughter to return home. She took her home herself. Oh God, you are so good.
If you have noticed, I do not put a capital on the word satan. He is not a capital of anything. He is scum and does not deserve my recognition that he is anything at all. The bible says that when we see him we will say, "Is this him? Is this he that caused me to be fearful and have unbelief? Is this the guy whom nations subjected themselves to"? We will see this hideous creature groveling in the dust and be totally amazed. (These are my words and come from Isaiah 14:16 & 17 and Genesis 3:14 where God pronounced his judgment in the Garden).
My dear Christian friends, do not give ground to satan when it concerns your family. God gave us the responsibility and authority to raise our children. Satan has no right to them. Faith is needed today to raise our children. Jesus will not let you down. I am so glad that I came to Him. God is faithful. He will never leave us nor forsake us. It is a real pleasure to serve Him.

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Pr. 4:23
Father I thank you for just being you. I am so blessed by you and your presence. I desire you more and more each passing day Lord. I appreciate you God, Jesus and Holy Spirit. I am yours and you are mine forever. You have given me my children and I am eternally grateful Lord. I dedicate them and offer them to you and for your use. I break the power of satan over their lives and I believe Lord, that your Word and my walk are the persuading power that motivates my children. I walk by faith not fear. I love you! Amen!
We at JLYM.COM exclaim that Jesus Loves You!!!! He Really Does
