These devotionals on faith are based on true experiences in my life.
I
have found it astonishing and also appalling at
the same time, that even in the Christian world
one gets confused at what to believe. One will
say they
err because of hyper faith. Another
will say to speak in tongues is of the devil or
God does not heal today or He does not do it
that way or this way. We humans love to put God
in a box because it matches ones doctrines or it
is easier to understand Him that way. Then we
try to force everyone else to believe exactly
that way. I understand that we must have
controls but can one come into my house and
dictate what rules are in their household. I am
afraid not. There is a definite distinction
between light and darkness. God has taught me a
valuable thing in life. I can mark a man but not
judge him. That is His job not mine.
Where are the David's in Christianity today? David refused to speak evil of King Saul even if Saul wanted him dead and sought diligently to end his life. David was a great sinner and God did not try to hide David's dark deeds, yet God said that David was a man after His own heart. When Billy Graham went to Russia he was misunderstood and many condemned his actions when we all should of just stayed quiet and prayed and supported the man of God and what God was doing. Let it be far from me to judge Billy Graham. I long for my Jesus to come so that his faith and desire will finally become a reality ..... that we might all be one even as He and His Father are one. Hey some might say that Jesus was only dreaming but that was His faith, for and in us. Was Jesus delirious or did He have faith?
When
I once worked at Chryslers of Canada, I remember
sitting in my office and talking this man who
was a Baptist at one time and had fallen. He
came in as usual to mock me but I knew in his
heart and he was searching for the truth. It was
lunch time and we were having a great talk. The
man was in tears as I spoke and then in walks
another Christian who did not agree with me in
everything. He got involved and asked me a
controversial question. I answered him humbly
but he contended with me. The man who I was
ministering to stood up, threw his hands in the
air and said, "When all you Christians get it together
then you can tell me about this Jesus of yours"
and walked out. I grieved in my heart and wept.
Then I opened my bible to the chapter
of Mark began to read the verses above and said to this man
"For the sake of your doctrine you just
destroyed a man". I said no more but just let the
Word of God work in this man's heart. I saw
tears in his eyes as he left.
Again I say as I said last week, "WE ARE the children of God. I am God's child. Oh
yes, I am and so are you. Jesus is my brother. I
belong to God. I am part of God's family. I am
in the palm of His hand and no one shall pluck
me from His grip. I am determined in life to
keep that status. I know who I am and where I
belong. Jesus is exactly who He says He is. God
is exactly who He says He is". We must settle and
secure this fact in our lives once and for
all so that we are not swayed to and fro by
every wind of doctrine that comes our way. We
must be established in His word to know who we
are and where we come from. Then once that is
established we must walk humbly with our Brother
and Sister regardless of what they believe and
let each other get on with the work that God has
called them to do in their lives.
Many times I have gone to another Pastor from another denomination and asked if I could help them in the meeting, revival, seminar, etc. I would tell them that I will do anything to help. Many had come to know that I would not do anything they felt was wrong to do according to their beliefs. Why not try this sometime and get really blessed.
My desire in my ministry is to see that the faith of Jesus' be fulfilled before He comes. I desire to see us walk with one another without judgment. I believe only then will we have an effect on the world. I am so glad that no man will be my judge when I die and go home to be with my Jesus. Praise You Jesus!!!!!!
