A Child's Delight

It is wonderful to see the look on your child's face,
When she sees snow for the first time.
The awe and wonder shines in her eyes.
The excitement and eagerness to much for her to contain.
She wants to build a snowman,
To make an igloo,
A snow angel,
and more.
Not knowing what she wants to do first,
She flops her small body down in the soft fluffy snow.
Her giggles of delight echo around.
Her joy spreading to all around.
My little angel is covered in snow,
And making an angel of her own.
Balling the snow she throws her first snowball.
Then digs in the bank,
She wants her own igloo.
Digging and giggling,
She plays with glee.
Her smile is bigger than I've ever seen before.
The delight of her first snow,
Will last forever.
An experience she can share,
With her children and grandchildren.
Maybe tomorrow
We will build a snowman.

Canadian Snow.
