He reached out his hand
His soft words
A beautiful song
The scene so peaceful
I reach out and take it
With a flutter in my heart
I knew I had found
The love that the Lord had promised me
A love so pure and gentle
The love of him who came in my darkness
He who made the dark turn to light
Sorrow and pain turn to joy and peace
My love is a man of God
He taught me to love
Both in the Spirit and in the heart
His hand did heal my heart
He made my heart fly
Fulfilled me and made me whole
Now He is my husband
We are one now
In mind body and soul
One in our love for God
One in our longing to serve Him
One in our love for each other
One in the nurturing of our children
The Lord has blessed us both
He gave us life in each other
He gave us light to see
He gave us love to share
He gave us hope
And in Him we have much faith
Thank you Jesus for this new life we share
Thank you Jesus for this Gentle Loving Man My Husband.
